Cops Arrest 32 for Drugs, Booze at Phish Show


New York State police said they made 32 arrests on various drug and alcohol-related charges at a pair of Phish concerts at Jones Beach Theater this week.

Troopers patrolling the area during the jam band’s performances Tuesday and Wednesday arrested 17 people for unlawful possession of marijuana.

In one of those cases, police said a 23-year-old New Jersey man who was busted for smoking a marijuana cigarette in his Jeep was also found to have 28 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

He was additionally charged with felony possession of a control substance.

Police also arrested six people on misdemeanor drug possession charges, five for underage drinking, two for driving while intoxicated and Troopers made one felony marijuana possession arrest.
