Jericho School Bus Fire Extinguished

A small school bus went up in flames in Jericho Tuesday morning, but no students were onboard and the driver wasn’t injured, fire and police officials said.

Nassau County police said the small bus caught fire around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of North Broadway and 17th Street.

The fire was extinguished and the road was re-opened.

Jericho Fire Department responded to the bus fire, officials said. The fire department wasn’t immediately available for comment.

It’s unclear what started the fire.
