A 71-year-old New York City man was arrested for drunken driving after Southampton Town Police said he crashed into a patrol car in Bridgehampton over the weekend.
Authorities said Fredrick M. Friedman was driving his BMW on Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor when he collided with a marked police car while turning onto Scuttlehole Road at 10:35 a.m. Saturday.
Officers found Friedman to be under the influence of alcohol at the time, police said.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain lane.
There was minor damaged to both vehicles but no injuries were reported.
