BWI Arrest After Vessel Runs Aground on North Fork


A Westchester County man was accused of drunken boating after his vessel ran aground in East Marion over the weekend.

Southold Town Police said Michael Gress had his vessel on autopilot when he hit the beach at 2:25 p.m. Friday.

Officers found the 48-year-old North Salem man to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.

He was charged with boating while intoxicated.
