More than two-dozen car tires have been slashed in New Cassel since Thursday, Nassau County police said.
Detectives are investigating a total of 31 vehicles that had their tires slashed while parked between Tennyson Avenue, School Street, Bryant Street and Lowell Street between 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and 5 a.m. the next morning.
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
