Nassau County police are looking for a group of males that robbed and beat a teenager in New Cassel around midnight on Saturday.
Detectives said the unidentified 17-year-old male victim had just left a block party and was walking on Prospect Avenue when an unknown black male struck him from behind.
That’s when a group of 10 to 15 males jumped in and preceded to punch and kick the teen. The group took the victim’s watch and chain, police said, and then fled the scene.
The teen was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a laceration above his right eye and abrasions to his body.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
