A live grenade was found at a Town of Oyster Bay recycling facility on Tuesday morning, although where it came from and who left it there remains a mystery.
A town employee found the explosive devise at the Sort Facility on Bethpage Sweet Hollow Road in Old Bethpage at 11:20 a.m.
Nassau County police said it had been left at a drop-off location set aside for latex paint products outside the facility entrance.

Arson/Bomb Squad detectives responded to the scene and removed the grenade to a secure facility.
It will be detonated in police bunker at a later date, police said.
