Mastic Woman Stole from Church, Cops Say

A Mastic woman was arrested Friday following an investigation that determined she would go to several churches, claim she was within reach of the parish and steal money from outreach programs, Suffolk County police said.

Police said since last month 30-year-old Nicole Annuziato went to three separate church outreach programs in the Towns of Brookhaven and Islip and claimed she needed money for rent. Annuziato would claim she was a resident within each church’s parish and doctored fake lease agreements, police said.

She allegedly stole a total of $1,500 from churches in West Islip, East Islip and Rocky Point.
