Patchogue Woman Arrested for DWI Crash


A 21-year-old woman was accused of drunken driving when she crashed her vehicle in Watermill on Thursday night.

Southampton Town Police said Amada Walters, of Patchogue, crashed her Hyundai into a tree near the corner of Montauk Highway and Proprietors Lane at 11:34 p.m.

Police said Walters was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Walters was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

She was taken to Southampton Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.

Walters will be arraigned Friday at Southampton Town Justice Court.
