The Long Island man and boyfriend of the recent Yale University graduate who died in a car crash just days after urging fellow graduates to “make something happen to this world” in her final column for the student newspaper is facing charges.
Police tell the Cape Cod Times 22-year-old Michael Gocksch of Centerport, has been summoned to court on July 5 for a hearing on charges including motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation. If probable cause is found, a criminal complaint would be issued.
Police say Gocksch was driving May 26 when the car rolled over in Dennis. Twenty-two-year-old Marina Keegan of Wayland died.

The couple had graduated from Yale days earlier.
After her death, Keegan’s column in which she wrote “the best years of our lives are not behind us” drew national attention.
