Deer Park Bank Robber Sought by Police

Suffolk County police are looking for a woman who robbed a bank in Deer Park on Tuesday afternoon.

The woman entered the Capitol One bank on Deer Park Avenue, walked up to a teller and announced a robbery at 1:50 p.m., police said.

The teller turned over cash and the robber fled on foot. She was last seen walking north across the bank parking lot.

The suspect is described as a white woman in her 40s, medium build, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with a light complexion.

She was wearing a black baseball hat, black sunglasses, a black windbreaker, gray sweatpants and white sneakers.  She also wore clear rubber gloves.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will remain confidential.
