A man and woman have been arrested for pistol-whipping a man during a robbery in Lynbrook early Tuesday morning, Nassau County police said.
Shaquan Lewis, 29 and Arnetha Humphrey, 30, got into a fight with the 43-year-old victim in their Atlantic Avenue home, where they repeatedly struck the victim about the body with a handgun at 12:44 a.m., police said.
Lewis and Humphrey stole a gold chain from around the victim’s neck and fled the scene before Lynbrook police officers apprehended them shortly later, police said.
A loaded 9-millimeter handgun and the gold chain were recovered from the vehicle, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
Lewis and Humphrey were charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. Lewis was also charged with criminal use of a firearm.
They will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
