A 38-year-old motorcyclist and a pedestrian he struck were both killed in Roosevelt over the weekend.
Nassau County police said Orande Black of Massapequa was riding his Suzuki northbound on Nassau Road when he hit a pedestrian crossing the road at the corner of Lakewood Avenue at 10:45 pm. Saturday.
Black and his motorcycle then struck a parked vehicle, which he became pinned under, police said.
Black and the pedestrian were taken to a local hospital where they were both pronounced dead shortly later.
First Squad detectives found no criminality involved. The motorcycle was impounded for safety checks.
Police did not immediately release the identity of the pedestrian.
