An argument over a parking space at a Dunkin Donuts in Amityville took a dangerous turn Saturday morning when shots were fired following the altercation.
Suffolk County police said a 30-year-old Massapequa man was at the coffee shop at 355 Broadway when he got into an argument over a parking space with another man just after 9 a.m.
After the argument, the Massapequa man got into his 2007 Chevrolet, left the parking lot, and drove north on Broadway. The person he just finished arguing with followed behind in his light brown Chevrolet Tahoe, caught up with the other man, and fired one shot at his vehicle with a handgun, hitting the front wheel as he was crossing over the Sunrise Highway overpass, police said.
