Port Jefferson Station Man, 37, Killed in Crash


A 37-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Coram early Friday morning.

Suffolk County police said Michelle Gass, 22, of Coram, was driving a Ford northbound on North Ocean Avenue when she struck a Nissan at the corner of Old Town Road at 5:44 a.m.

The Nissan, driven by 18-year-old Hector Marmol, was heading eastbound on Old Town Road at the time.

Gass, Marmol, and his passenger, Ramon Genao, both of Port Jefferson Station, were all taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center. Genao was pronounced dead shortly later.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks while the investigation is continuing.
