A Roslyn Heights man has been accused of slashing a 50-year-old man during a fight over money on Sunday evening.

Nassau County police arrested Owin Thomas after the 32-year-old man allegedly slashed the victim in the head, face and arm at 6:40 p.m.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he received 21 stitches to his injuries.

Police also found Thomas had an open Family Court warrant from January and was wanted for a criminal mischief in April.

Thomas was charged with assault, criminal mischief and criminal contempt.

He will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
