Nassau County police have identified the 31-year-old man who was killed in his hometown of Roosevelt over the weekend.

Police said Jose Romero got into a fight with another man who cut him with an unknown weapon in a parking lot on Nassau Road shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he died about an hour and a half later.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
