A 24-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck while crossing a road two blocks from his Inwood home on Tuesday night.

Nassau County police said Leonires Reyes was crossing Nassau Expressway against the traffic signal and outside of the crosswalk near the corner of Mott Avenue when he was hit by a Ford pickup truck at 10:15 p.m.

Reyes was taken to a local hospital where he died shortly later.

Fourth Squad detectives found no criminality involved in the crash.
