Two arsonists torched a new car worth more than $50,000 at a dealership in Lynbrook early Friday morning, Nassau County police said.
Two men entered Anchor Audi on Sunrise Highway shortly before midnight Thursday night and broke into a 2012 Audi S5 convertible, setting off the alarm, police said.
The duo fled the dealership, but returned about an hour later and set the same vehicle on fire.
They fled a second time in a vehicle driven by a third person. There was no description of any of the suspects released.
Lynbrook Fire Department firefighters extinguished the fire. There was no damage to any other vehicles and no injuries reported.
