In 3 years the post office and Amtrak will be out of business. Not long afterward, the LIRR will be in Grand Cental Terminal. Then NJ Transit can have all of Penn Station to itself and the obsolete U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan station will be as dead as he is. Why waste the money now?

The bulk of passengers go east, north and south – not west. Subways are at 6th, 7th and 8th – nothing at 9th. Money needs to fix those areas.
