An unidentified woman was found dead at a Riverhead shopping center on Monday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Riverhead Town Police officers responded to a call of the body of a woman was lying at the edge of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles office parking lot on Old Country Road at 8:20 a.m., authorities said.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman was dead. The woman was taken to the Suffolk County medical examiner’s office, where an autopsy will be performed.

Police only described the woman as Hispanic and approximately 30 years old. Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
