Levittown Man Fled Parkway DWI Crash, Cops Say

An alleged drunken driver was arrested after crashing his car on Ocean Parkway near the Jones Beach State Park water tower late Thursday night, New York State Police said.

Troopers stopped the Ford Mustang involved in the crash after the driver fled the scene shortly before midnight, police said.

The driver, 24-year-old James Titone of Levittown, failed sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.09 percent, police said.

Titone was charged with driving while intoxicated and traffic violations.

He is due at First District Court in Hempstead on May 14.
