Red in a blue state? First off, until the election of Bill Clinton, red was Democrat and blue was Republican. Apparently, the Party and Media didn’t like the association of their philosophies of Marxism with their natural color, so they switched them for Bill.
The article is well-written, but it is difficult to believe anyone to be Republican who repeatledly refers to our country as a democracy, which it certainly is not.
The offense of the error is that IF this were a true democracy, then policies which fail at the voting booth, like gay marriage and abortion, but which are arbitrarily enforced but judicial mandate, would not exist in our present culture. Also, things like prohibition of religious material at schools and photo ID for illegal immigrants voting for absentees away at their vacation homes would be very different in that society.
So, oddly, the Democrat Party should be very glad that we are in fact a Republic.
