Reba McEntire is one of the latest celebrities to announce that she will appear on NBC genealogy series “Who Do You Think You Are?”
“It’s official,” the country star tweeted last week. “My episode of @nbcwdytya will premiere on Mar. 2!” During a preview of the episode viewers see McEntire in a green grassy area of a courtyard proclaiming, “this is pretty cool that I’m standing right here where my seven times great grandmother and grandfather are buried. This is really cool.”
Other stars that will join her for the third season of this ancestry finding show include Rob Lowe, Martin Sheen, Blair Underwood, Marisa Tomei, Helen Hunt, Rita Wilson, Edie Falco and Jerome Bettis.
“We’re very excited about the stories we have this season,” producers Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky said in a statement. “This fantastic group of people we have will take us to countries we haven’t visited before which is thrilling and gives us glimpses into crucial details of history that not only shaped their families, but our world. This is what we love about this series; it’s so enriching for us the viewer, as well as the participants and their families.
The season premiere of “Who Do You Think You Are?” premieres Feb. 3 at 8 p.m.
