I hope that this suit, along with any investigation into the grade fixing, goes even deeper into the other illegal activities of the BOD in Bellport for the last decade. Illegal privately held pre-schools established in the school building with school funds and other improprieties need to be investigated. The "Good Old Boys" club has been at it for years. Fully qualified teachers were denied tenure because of their age and physical appearance.

There are other State Board fo Education investigations going on at this time and I hope that they can all come together to bring down the cronyism of the South Country BOE. While I can't be assured that things would change with paid BOD's, I know that in other areas BOD's ARE on the payroll, which would preclude having unqualified individuals on the boards. Not necessarily guaranteeing pure honesty, but at least making the prospects more appealing than the typical butt wiper that seems to be on boards today. Years ago, BOD members were upstanding members of the community, individuals who actually cared for the education of the children in the district. Today most boards have become stepping stones for bigger political positions with NO concern for education or the kids.
