A Roosevelt man has been accused of having 220 lbs. of marijuana with a street value of $4 million shopped to him from California on Monday, New York State police said.
Narcotics Enforcement Unit investigators arrested Tony McClam after he received the shipment from a Plainview-based shipping company that was unaware of the package’s contents, police said.
The 42-year-old man, who is currently on parole, has 26 prior felony arrests, police said.
McClam was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
He will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
