Voyage for Vets @ Irish Times Pub
As part of on-going drive to honor veterans, Korte Travel and Irish Times Pub and Restaurant invite the community to come out, have a couple of drinks, and eat some good food for a great cause. There is a fixed menu price of $55 for all, plus giveaways. The public is encouraged to attend the occasion, whether a veteran or not. The proceeds from the dinner and the cruise will be donated in support of the Hopes for Heroes Foundation, as well as a portion to be donated to the Corporal Jared Kremm Memorial Foundation, Inc. Sousa Celebration Salute to Vets @ Patchogue Theatre
John Philip Sousa was an American composer and conductor known particularly for American military and patriotic marches such as “The Star and Stripes Forever.” Known as “the March King,” John Philip Sousa played right here at the Patchogue Theatre on July 23, 1923, and a year later on June 23, 1924. The 60-piece Patchogue Theatre Symphonic Band will be playing much of Sousa’s unique music from the original scores. Friday, 11.11
