Authorities armed with cadaver dogs will continue yesterday’s search of southeast Aruba on Wednesday for missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner, who has been missing since early August and is presumed dead by Aruban police.
The cadaver dog search, which began on Wednesday, has turned up no new information so far, according to the Associated Press. The search for the remains of the 35-year-old woman is expected to continue through the week.
Gardner’s travel companion Gary Giordano, who maintains his innocence, remains the sole suspect in Gardner’s disappearance.
Giordano, a businessman from Maryland, told police Gardner was swept out to sea while they were snorkeling together.
Giordano had previously bought an accidental insurance policy on Gardner, one that he tried to collect when the woman disappeared. He had purchased the policy just days before traveling to Aruba with Gardner.
