Pornography is as old as the modern printing press and has gone on to conquer satellite TV and the Internet. Last April, the first 3D porn movie was released, “3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy.”
The adult entertainment industry has remained one of the most controversial in the world–Some studies claim that the viewing of pornographic material may increase rates of sexual crimes, which remains highly debatable. Others say that pornography is demeaning to women.
The fact is, the adult entertainment industry rakes in billions each year, and its revenue is larger than that of top technology companies like Microsoft and Google—Imagine our economy without pornography.
And as much as people deny it and hide it, studies show that nearly 40 million adults in the U.S. visit pornography websites regularly.
Although the sex film industry capital, San Fernando Valley, sits across the United States in Los Angeles, some of the biggest porn stars hail from our own backyard.
