I did not find this article to be helpful at all. In fact, I found it to be rather deceptive. The title suggests that this article would provide listings of places where one can go apple picking in LI. However, the first place described in the article, Richter’s Orchard, does not provide apple picking!!! I really wish that this article had been more specific about this important detail. Unfortunately it wasn’t, and as a result, I had to end up finding out the hard way. After having driven out over an hour for nothing!!! Apparently, I was not alone. When I arrived, I overheard other disgruntled families complaining about the same thing. So I disliked this article immensely!!! The lack of important information does a disservice to both potential consumers as well as to the people who run the establishment.

Jericho Cider Mill usually carries Winesap apples (you can’t pick them yourself from the tree, but they sell them pre-picked) It’s located at 73 Route 106 in Jericho.

looking to pick winesap apples, hard to find, do any local farms have these apples and if so when can they be picked ? thankk you
