An East Farmingdale public storage facility was robbed Friday, after two men entered the store—one with a handgun—and stole cash and a cell phone.
According to Suffolk County police, the two men entered the public storage facility on Broad Hallow Road around 11:35 a.m. One of the robbers took out a handgun and ordered three employees working at the store to lay down behind the counter. The two men tied up the employees and stole cash and a cell phone, police said, and then fled on foot.
One of the suspects is described as a black male, in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 6 feet tall, with a thin build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, dark clothing with a black and white checkered bandana covering his face, police said. The other suspect is described as a black male, in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, dark complexion, a thin mustache and long thin sideburns. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap and dark clothing.
