A well-done burger soaked in juices simply gives you a damp, tasteless burger. Overcooking a burger doesn’t only dry it out, it takes away the taste. I think that doubling up patties (rather than having a single, thicker, patty) simply compounds the problem, ensuring that each patty will be too well-done.

Coincidentally, I just passed Big City for the first time today before reading this; I’m glad I didn’t stop by. Comparing any burger to Five Guy’s overcooked, tasteless patties is the death knell for me.
