The two have officially split again. A rep for David Duchovny and Tea Leoni confirmed that the two have called it quits for the second time.
This split follows a break up in 2008 when David checked into rehab for sex addiction.
“In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children,” read a statement in 2008.
By 2009, People reported that the two were still in love and back together.
“David Duchovny and Téa Leoni looked like the picture perfect family on June 14 as they frolicked on the Malibu beach with their two kids, smiling and playing in the water,” reported People. A source told the magazine that their relationship had improved and they were working it out for the kids.
The two married in 1997 and have two kids, Madelaine, 12 and Kyd, 9. It was the second marriage for Tea.
Duchovny plays Hank Moody in Showtime’s Californication. The role won him a Golden Globe. Leoni starred in “Manure” in 2009 and plays Gertie Fiansen in this year’s “Tower Heist.” “Tower Heist” is a movie about a group of working men who fall for a Ponzi scheme and are seeking revenge.
