Suffolk County police arrested a man on Thursday who was driving with a New York State license that had been revoked or suspended dozens of times in the past.
A member of Suffolk County Police Department’s Aggressive Driving Task Force was driving east on Sunrise Highway in Oakdale when he noticed a black Ford van exit the highway without signaling, police said.
The officer followed the van onto the service road and pulled the driver over for the violation, police said.
According to police, an investigation revealed the driver of the van, Daniel Sulima, of Centereach, had his New York State driver’s license suspended and revoked 46 times, due to a variety of traffic law violations that consisted of “failing to pay fines, speeding, failing to appear for tickets and operating uninsured motor vehicles,” police said.
Sulima was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Saturday morning.
