Long Island Memorial Day Parades 2011

Memorial Day, a time to honor our vets the best way we know how. So, don your poppies and slap on that red, white and blue and hit up one of the many parades on Long Island.

Amityville: 10 a.m. Broadway Triangle Gazebo

Bay Shore-Brightwaters: 10 a.m. Lanier Lane & Main Street


Bayville: 1 p.m. Bayville Village Hall, down School Street

Bethpage: 10 a.m. Old Country Rd. and 135 to Washington Ave Park

Bohemia: 10 a.m. Hubal Street and Ocean Avenue to Pearl Street

Brentwood: 9:30 a.m. Fifth Avenue

Bellport/Brookhaven: 11 a.m. Village Hall up Bellport Lane to the Four Corners, then up Station Road

Center Moriches: 9 a.m. Lake Avenue and Main Street

Centereach: 1 p.m. Henry Street to Horseblock Road. SUNDAY MAY 29.

Centerport: 10:30 a.m. Harrison Drive to Park Circle

Commack-Elwood: 10 a.m. Home Depot Parking lot to Veterans Memorial Highway

Copiague: 10:30 a.m. starts at the Holbrook Bagel Shopping Center. Parade continues south down Main St., then west on Furrows Rd and then south on Grundy Ave. to the Alex Diguardia Memorial.

East Hampton: 9 a.m. Main Beach ceremony, parade at 10:30 a.m. on Main Street to Hook Mill

East Islip: 10 a.m. Saxon Avenue to Islip Town Hall

East Meadow: starting at East Meadow High School, 101 Carman Avenue  and ending at Veterans Memorial Park on East Meadow Avenue.

East Northport: Clay Pitts and Larkfield roads to John Walsh Memorial Park

East Norwich: 9 a.m. Walnut Avenue and Route 106

Floral Park: 10 a.m. Elizabeth Street to Memorial Park

Freeport: 10 a.m. South Brookside Avenue

Garden City: 10 a.m. Cherry Valley Avenue at 10th Street

Glenwood Landing: 9 a.m. Fire Station, Grove Street

Great Neck: 9:30 a.m. Susquehanna Avenue and Middleneck Road

Greenlawn: 9 a.m. East Maple Road to Memorial Park at Pulaski

Hampton Bays: 10 a.m. St. Rosalie’s Church

Hempstead: 2:30 p.m. Greenwich Street and Marvin Avenue to cemetery on Greenwich Street

Hicksville: 9 a.m. Parking lot to Hicksville Middle School

Holbrook: 10:30 a.m. Holbrook Plaza

Huntington Village: 11:30 a.m. Big H Shopping Center, New York Avenue

Inwood: 11:30 a.m. Inwood LIRR

Kings Park: 9 a.m. Starts at RJO, west on Old Dock Road to Main Street, Kings Park Library

Lindenhurst: 8:30 a.m. Breslau Cemetery to Lindenhurst Village Hall

Locust Valley: 9 a.m. North Street and Forest Avenue

Malverne: 11 a.m. Meet at gazebo

Mineola: 11 a.m. Wilson Park to Veterans Memorial

Northport: 10 a.m. Village Park

Patchogue: 11 a.m. Route 112 and Main Street to Veterans War Memoiral at South Ocean

Rockville Centre: 10 a.m. Maple Avenue to Oceanside Road

Sayville: 9 a.m. Handsome Avenue and Main Street

Seaford: 9:30 a.m. Verity Plaza behind the Seaford Cinema

Setauket: 10 a.m. Main Street, Route 25A

Smithtown: Noon. West on Mani Street from Singer Lane to Town Hall

Southampton: Memorial Day Service 11 a.m. Agawam Park, Pond Lane

St. James: 10 a.m. Woodlawn and Lake Avenues to St. James Elementary School

Stony Brook: 10 a.m. Stony Brook Shopping Center to Veterans Memorial Park

Syosset: 9:30 a.m. Jackson Avenue to Veterans Memorial Park, Underhill Boulevard

Valley Stream: 9:30 a.m. Rockaway Parkway and Wheeler Avenue

Wantagh: 10 a.m. Beltagh and Wantagh Avenues to American Legion Post 1273

West Babylon: 9:30 a.m. Arnold Avenue & Route 109 to West Babylon-Deer Park American Legion Post 1634

West Hempstead: 10 a.m. Nassau Boulevard and Hempstead Avenue

West Islip: 10 a.m. 6 Udall Road & Roderick Street to Memorial Park on Udall & Higbie Lane
