American Idol : Finale Video

by Jessica Sinclair on May 25, 2011

American Idol

And then there was one, but we won’t know who until tonight.

After youngster, Hailey Reinhart got booted from the show, Scotty McCreery, 17, and Lauren Alaina, 16, were the only two left of the “Idol” cast vying for the title of “American Idol,” on tonight’s season finale.

As last night’s episode aired, host Ryan Seacrest announced that Lauren had severely strained her vocal chords but would finish the competition.

Lauren responded by saying, “I’m here. I’m ready to sing.”

The two battled it out on the first part of the two-part Season 10 finale with what seemed to be a country affair.

On Tuesday’s Part One, the two teens took the stage, Alaina sang “Flat On The Floor,” while McCreery sang “Gone,” to kick off the show. During the second round, Alaina performed American Idol’s own Carrie Underwood’s “Maybe It Was Memphis,” while McCreery sang “Check Yes Or No.”

Before the two went head to head for the final performance of the night, David Cook took the “Idol” stage once again to perform “Don’t You Forget About Me.”

For the final round, Alaina took the stage to wrap up the night with “Like My Mother Does,” which will be her first single if she wins. McCreery sang “I Love You This Big,” which will be his first single if he wins.

As the final performance of the night, singer Taio Cruz took the stage for a closing performance.

Tonight the final of the two-part finale will air at 8/7c on FOX.

Check out the video to see two of last night’s performances.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
