An amazing video of the Milky Way has just gone viral.
The time-lapse video shows the Milky Way in rare form, like a mix of an episode of the Discovery Earth series and a work of Van Gogh.
The video was shot by Terje Sorgjerd and is named “The Mountain.” It was filmed between April 4th and 11th from Spain’s highest mountain, El Teide at Teide Observatories.
The caption on the video reads, “The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountians I know El Teide.”
Sorgjerd went on to say, “There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week.”
The most amazing part of the film is during a sandstorm. In the video description, the photographer said that the storm made it impossible to see the sky with his own eyes but surprisingly his camera captured the whole thing.
