A teenage pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Northern State Parkway near his Dix Hills home on Sunday night, New York State police said.
Mathew D. Sinclair, 31, of Holbrook, was driving eastbound when he struck 16-year-old Taylor Ann Cavalere who had entered the roadway at 11:30 p.m. near Exit 42, Deer Park Avenue, police said.
Cavalere was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Cavalere had attended a party at a friend’s house near the scene prior to the crash.
