I have repeatedly submitted information to crimestoppers and to a Det. Nolan Suffolk County Division but evidently a guy with a canal in his back yard who grew up in the area and beat a woman (me) in a surprise attack during sex because he wanted to see me ‘quiver & bleed’ isn’t enough of a lead for them.
He took me to every single bird estuary,every beach named…all from the secluded slip in the backyard of his parents’ home. So I guess-for Det. Nolan, at least- we civilians aren’t worth listening to. She did everything but call me stupid. I have known for years this guy would eventually really really hurt or kill
either a woman or a gay male…mysogynist, sociopath, WITH A CANAL IN HIS BACK YARD. So it looks like your detectives over there on long island are NOT considering ‘every plausible lead’.

Had it not been for the fact that Ms. Gilbert was not one of the first four we would never have known about the rest.

Why did the police not do a thorough search in the first place?
