This is the 20th anniversary of the event, which was created in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell as a farewell tour for his band. It has been held in Grant Park in Chicago since 2005. This year’s festival will take place Aug. 5-7.
The Chicago Tribune reported that The Foo Fighters, Eminem and Muse are three acts that are confirmed. The full line-up will be posted April 26.
The “early bird” tickets were $185 for the three-day event. The “Regular 3-Day Pass,” the “VIP 3-Day Pass” and the “3-Night Travel Package” are all still available, with prices starting at $215. Single day passes have yet to go on sale.
This comes days after it debuted internationally with Lollapalooza Chile. Kanye West, the Killers, the Deftones and Jane’s Addiction headlined the event.
