Red Robin, the national burger chain, will soon open a location on Long Island.
The company is currently hiring more than 100 employees to staff the Carle Place location once it opens in early May. Previously, the closest location to the region had been Clifton, NJ, or Milford, Conn.
“We’re looking for team members who are passionate about burgers,” DJ Appelli, general manager of the Carle Place restaurant, said in a statement.

A spokeswoman for Red Robin said the restaurant will be the first corporate-owned location on Long Island. A franchised location closed up shop in the ’90s, the spokeswoman said.
It is the second national burger chain to move onto LI this year. Sonic is expected to open the first of several LI locations next month.
