Manhattan St. Patrick’s Day Parade: If you’re planning on heading to the city for the big parade, the Long Island Rail Road is providing an extra 18 trains to get you there. These trains will operate on the following lines: Babylon, Far Rockaway, Port Jefferson, Port Washington and Ronkonkoma. The Manhattan St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. and runs along Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street.
