Cops Probe Babylon Bank Robbery

Suffolk County police are investigating a bank robbery Friday in Babylon.

A man handed a note to a teller demanding cash and indicating that he was armed at the Capital One Bank on Little East Neck Road at 5:35 p.m., police said. The robber fled with cash on foot northbound through the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid 20s with an olive complexion, a slim to medium build, 6-feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall, unshaven, with dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black gloves.


Major Case Investigations Unit detectives ask anyone with information about this robbery to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
