I agree this addition of the Barbie Doll should be made availble and ALL proceeds should be sent to the Childrens Cancer Society for Research Funding and why not introduce a Ken Doll as well as well. Boys can undergo the same insecurities as well as little girls. Why single out one child they are ALL our Children and just as Loved!!!!

i THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT TO PRODUCE THE DOLL TO THE MARKETOR MAKE A LIMITED EDITION AND SELL IT THEM DONATE ALL PROCEDED TO THE CHILDRENS CANCER SOCIETY FOR FURTHER RESEARCH FUNDING.

I contacted Mattel today, only to get the very disappointing response that the bald barbie is not available for purchase. My grandaughter was diagnosed with Leukemia 3 wks after her 5th birthday (4-29-11). Since this date our Markee has lost her hair twice, and still has 2 yrs of treatment remaining. She has had multiple life threatening complications due to chemo, and now is on more medications thN her great grandparents….I woulf LOVE to purchase s special barbie for her, if you can help please let me know. i love the ideal that barbie have been custom made for children with cancer but i think this time they should have hats,wig and bandannas for them also for the times and stages..thanks

I think maytel shuld considering makin more of these . who doesnt love barbie. I think it would help the little girls and young ladies , help them cope with their cancer, knowing that they are still beautiful regarless if they have hair or not.
