Nassau County police are investigating a bank robbery in West Hempstead on Thursday evening.
A man gave a demand note to a teller at the Capital One Bank on Hempstead Turnpike at 5:45 p.m., police said. The teller complied and the robber fled the bank with cash.
The suspect was described as a black man, 35 years old, 6-feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing clear glasses and a dark hooded jacket.
