NBA All-Star Weekend Kicks Off Tonight With Justin Beiber

The NBA has reached the half-way points of its season, as the players stop playing games for the weekend to participate in the annual All-Star Weekend, taking place in Los Angeles this year.

The competition kicks off tonight with the All-Star Celebrity game at 7 p.m. on ESPN. The game will feature celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Rob Kardashian, as well as past NBA legends such as Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen.

The rookies and sophomores will then take the court in the annual Rookie Challenge. The game features the studs of the last two draft classes competing for bragging rights. The rookies are led this year by Blake Griffin, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and New York Knicks own Landry Fields. The team is also being coached by Amar’e Stoudemire.

For the sophomores, Stephen Curry and Brandon Jennings lead the way, and Carmelo Anthony will be the coach.

Tomorrow is All-Star Saturday Night, which features the three-point contest and the dunk contest.

The three-point contest will feature defending-champion Paul Pierce as takes on his teammate Ray Allen, and NBA superstar Kevin Durant.

In the Dunk Contest, the rookie-sensation Blake Griffin will take on Serge Ibaka, JaVale McGree, and Brandon Jennings.

Then on Sunday, the big kahuna of All-Star weekend takes center stage in the All-Star game.

Stoudemire will start alongside LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard, while the Western Conference will start Tim Duncan, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.

All of the activities minus the Celebrity game will air on TNT.
