The Associated Press reported, that a small commercial airliner crashed near the capital killing at least 14 of the about 20 people onboard.
BBC reported that Honduras vice-minister Robelo, finance minister Carlos Chahin and trade union leader Isreal Salinas Jorge Castellanos were among the 14 reported dead.
The plane crashed this morning, during a routinely scheduled flight. The plane left San Pedro Sula, Honduras at 8 a.m. and was scheduled to land in Tegucigalpa only 40 minutes later.
