The 65-year-old singer’s management and record company announced in a statement Thursday that Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will kick off a North American tour in March. The last time they went on tour was 2006-07. Dates have not yet been announced.
The last time the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer released original material was also in 2006 with “Face The Promise.” He does contribute to “Collide,” a track off of Kid Rock’s new album “Born Free.” Seger plays the piano and Sheryl Crow is featured on vocals.
Seger had a series of hits in the 1970s, including “Night Moves,” “Old Time Rock & Roll” and “Against the Wind.”
The statement said that the Grammy winner will play his old hits as well as songs from his new album.
