Taco Bell has just been hit with a lawsuit over it’s beef. Apparently the beef in Taco Bell’s tacos is not, gasp, 100 percent beef after all!
Yes, we know this must be a shocker for you.
Taco Bell has been hit with a class action lawsuit that claims the company is guilty of false advertising.
Why false?
Well, Taco Bell’s menu says “beef” but Taco Bell’s packages from the manufacturer say “meat filling.”
The lawsuit claims Taco Bell uses corn starch and wheat oats as filler, which may just be a good thing, for your arteries at least. The tacos allegedly have only 35 percent meat in them. The rest is questionable.
Taco Bell denies the claims and the complainant isn’t looking to get rich, or for any money at all.
The lawsuit is allegedly meant to keep Taco Bell honest.
Taco Bell has been the subject of many rumors before this lawsuit, some claiming the meat used in their products was Grade D or lower than that of dog food. Others claimed the tacos, and all fast food beef, were enhanced with worm meat for protein. None of these rumors have been confirmed and as far as we know Taco Bell meets all government standards for food.
And in light of what’s been said in the past, we are perfectly okay with a little corn starch and wheat oats. Just don’t mention the worms again, okay guys?
So…
What do you think is in YOUR taco?
