A Wheatley Heights man has been convicted of murdering a 45-year-old Wyandanch man two years ago.
A jury found Rudolph Bisnauth guilty of second-degree murder after a two-week trial and three hours of deliberations at Suffolk County court in Riverhead on Friday.
Prosecutors said the 25-year-old gunman fired his 9mm semi-automatic pistol into a group of 10 people standing in front of a house on Irving Avenue in Wyandanch on the night of June 1, 2009.
Jeremiah Armstrong died of a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Robert Biancavilla said a family feud sparked the violence.
Police had apprehended Bisnauth five days after the shooting. His accomplice, 20-year-old Michael McKenzie pleaded guilty to manslaughter in September.
State Supreme Court Justice Robert W. Doyle will sentence McKenzie on Wednesday and Bisnauth on March 3. Bisnauth faces 15 years to life in prison.
